Surgical Sales & Product Manager

Clinicon Corporation is a quickly growing surgical laser company that focuses on minimally invasive procedures. We seek a Clinical Sales & Product Specialist to educate, train, support and sell to the company’s distributors, mobilizers, and end users in hospitals. As the selected candidate, you will be thoroughly trained to become the technical and clinical expert on our laser systems, surgical laserprobes and laserfibers. You will provide initial and ongoing support for Sales Reps and OR Techs with on-site guidance and assistance during surgical laser procedures. By “taking ownership” of our product line, you will insure a successful product introduction and acceptance at key customer sites in both business and clinical areas to ensure success of the product line.
Responsibilities
- Educate and train sales personnel of the Company’s distributors and medical equipment rental companies
- Assist sales personnel to educate and train surgeons, physicians and OR staff
- Develop and cultivate relationships with surgeons, their staff, hospital surgery schedulers and administrative personnel to meet/exceed sales objectives
- Become the resource to answer a wide range of questions concerning laser surgical applications, as well as clinical techniques related to Neuro-, ENT-, Spine-, General-, Endoscopic-, GYN and URO surgery
- Take suggestions for product improvements and new designs to convey to the company engineering staff
- Develop marketing plans that maximize communications to the surgical specialty customer base and increase sales
- Develop training materials that support the sales process of presenting our value proposition to surgeons and hospitals
- Be the clinical lead during preparation of surgical cases at a new site and attend the first procedures
- Be on call for surgeon calls and emergencies
- Provide ongoing support to distributors, mobilizers and their customers
- Attend key industry trade show and conferences
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of successful medical device sales experience
- Strong written and eloquent public speaking/presentation skills, demonstrated by prior accomplishments and examples (there will be a presentation and interview with executive management)
- Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com proficiency
Education & Experience Required
- BS or BA degree in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
- Clinical experience in minimally invasive surgery in Neuro, ENT, Spine, General, GYN, URO, Laparoscopy and other Laser applications
- Understanding of human anatomy & physiology and medical terminology
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% annually
Compensation
- Competitive $65,000 – $125,000 Salary (commensurate with experience) with commission, Medical Insurance, Bonus Program, Stock Options and Car Allowance.
